Whale Shark Wake-Up
We are only 20 minutes from the famous whale sharks of Oslob. You can choose to swim, snorkel or scuba-dive* with the biggest fish in the sea – all before breakfast - on our whale shark wake-up.
To be with the Gentle Giants ahead of the crowds, we leave the resort at 5:00am. Our dedicated guide looks after you in and out of the water, and takes the pictures too.
We include air-conditioned transport, snorkelling equipment and your entry fees. All you have to do is smile for the camera!
You will be back at the resort around 8:30am to re-live your memories over breakfast.
(* qualified scuba-divers only)
Slow Boat to Sumilon
Step-aboard your private boat and cruise to the first marine protected area in the Philippines.
At Sumilon Island you can snorkel in crystal-clear water with a stunning coral reef and amazing marine life. Maybe even a turtle or reef shark might pass-by. Then chill-out on the island’s white sand bar surrounded by shallow warm water.
We include your private boat, snorkelling equipment, entry fees, air-conditioned transport and a guide to accompany you and take pictures.
Sumilon Island offers the perfect relaxation after an early morning with the whale sharks. Combine both trips and make a day of it.
Canyoneering at Kawasan
This is an adrenaline-filled day of motorbikes, zip-lines, wading, swimming, rock slides, rope swings and cliff jumping. Just don’t forget your camera!
After your safety briefing and equipment fitting is completed, you start with a motorbike ride up to the zip-line. Here, it’s time to clip-in, push-off and away you go, flying over the jungle to the canyon below.
Then the adventure really begins. You’re guided through the blue water trail, navigating cliff jumps, exploring caves, wading through pools and sliding over cascades and rapids. Stretch your limits as the cliff jumps grow higher to a fear-inducing finalé of 14m*, before relaxing in the famous Kawasan Falls to let your adrenaline subside.
We guarantee you will be tired, but thrilled, once you arrive back at the resort late-afternoon.
(* walking alternatives to jumping are available)
One of the most popular waterfalls in southern Cebu, Aguinid Falls features five cascades of turquoise water, mixing beauty with adventure.
Slip-on your wet shoes and safety helmet, and follow your guide. You will wade through flowing water and climb a waterfall by rope. If the adventure becomes too hot there are caves to explore and refreshing pools for cooling-down.
We call them Secret Falls because there are no crowds here (yet).
With five levels of adventure, Inambakan Falls is one the best waterfalls in Cebu. Rock climbing, jumping into pools and swimming in the flowing water all add-up to an exploration to remember.
After all this excitement, the main attraction is a 30m waterfall at the lower level, tumbling into an aquamarine pool. And the secret highlight? A cave behind the falls from where you have a unique view of the waterfall.
With a curtain of water cascading over rugged outcrops, it’s been said that Tumalog Falls was created for Instagram.
The large blue pool at the base of the falls is shallow enough to sit-in, or you can explore the cave to the side of the falls for a different viewpoint. Whichever you choose, the picturesque jungle setting of Tumalog Falls will help you to relax, cool-off and enjoy the scenery.
Why not visit Tumalog Falls after snorkelling with the whale sharks? Combine both for a morning of adventure and relaxation.
If you want to wade in milky-blue water that has carved through a canyon for thousands of years, and be rewarded with a 50m waterfall, then Dao Falls is the place for you.
A jungle trek starts the adventure. Soon you’re cooling-off in the blue, surrounded by palms and ferns. As the water becomes deeper, you wade through the canyon and over cascades. The canyon narrows and the water-flow quickens. A climb over two small waterfalls brings you to a large turquoise pool, perfect for swimming, with the mighty Dao cascading 50m from above.
Dao Falls is a unique adventure.
Climb to the highest point on Cebu (1,013m) and be rewarded with views from coast to coast.
This is a great afternoon hike, with some unique topography perfect for an Instagram sunset. After an exhilarating drive into the mountains, the short climb takes only 20 minutes. At the summit you can enjoy a panorama stretching from Bohol in the east to Negros to the west. Take your time, enjoy the views and grab that perfect photo.
We include your transport, park entry fees and a guide to climb with you and take pictures. On the return journey we stop at a mountain village to savour some local produce before arriving back at the resort for your well-deserved pre-dinner drinks.
A short walk through the jungle brings you to the lower-level falls at Binalayan. Here you can enjoy a water massage under the small waterfall, swim in the pool or relax in the peace and tranquillity of this quiet gem known as Hidden Falls.
The fun really begins at the upper falls. These are 10m high and are formed by three streams of water. If you’re feeling adventurous you can rock-climb part-way up the falls to a small cave, giving you a birds-eye view of the pool below.
If you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend a visit to the Hidden Falls at Binalayan.
You won’t find these falls on everyone’s destination list, because many people don’t know about them. But we do…
The short walk to Montpeller Fallshas wonderful views over the hills to the ocean, before you arrive at a bridge to get your first sight of these impressively high falls. The water falls from high above onto a giant boulder and then cascades into the plunge pool that’s perfect for swimming.
And the best part… you may find yourself being the only ones enjoying this small piece of paradise.
Three very different levels make Cambais Falls an adventure to remember.
The lower level features a large pool of cool blue water and 8m high falls. You can swim behind the falls and into a cave. The fun part is climbing a smaller waterfall and coming down by the natural rock water slide.
There’s a 3m cliff jump at level two, with bamboo stairs leading up to the final level. Here there is another waterfall, which you can climb up, a 6m cliff jump and another natural rock slide if you didn’t have enough fun at the lower levels.
A visit to Cambais Falls has something for everyone.
Kawasan Falls & Moalboal Sardine Run
We combine the most famous waterfall in Cebu with one of nature’s breath-taking experiences.
Snorkel in tropical ocean waters, surrounded by a school of more than a million sardines. As you swim, the sardine run parts, changes shape and reforms – almost having a life of its own. This natural phenomenon helps the tiny sardines avoid larger predators.
Afterwards, what better way to rinse-off all that saltwater than in the fresh, blue water of Kawasan Falls? The first level offers a huge pool for swimming and the picturesque waterfall. Levels two and three are more peaceful, with a dam, a rope swing, a cliff jump and pools in which to relax.
Climb the 136 steps to reward yourself with amazing sunrise views across the ocean to the islands of Siquijor and Bohol.
This white limestone cliff can be seen from the resort and towers above our local town of Boljoon. If you miss the sunrise, you can always head to Ili Rock later in the day, either on your scooter or by grabbing a tricycle.
The view is more than worth the climb.
